The story of holding on to life with faith and hope…

Our 61-year-old patient had surgery for prostate and then bladder tumor within 1 year. Local bile duct enlargement was detected in the ultrasound taken during routine controls. As a result of the detailed examinations after diagnosis, we determined that our patient had an early stage biliary tract tumor (cholangiocellular carcinoma).
In biliary tract tumors, the chance of cure is very high when the disease is diagnosed early. Surgery is the most effective treatment for biliary tract tumors. For this reason, we first evaluated whether our patient was suitable for surgery. Since the disease requires a technical and sensitive treatment process, we decided to operate with a multidisciplinary approach according to the localization, size and stage of the tumor. We removed the entire right lobe of the liver, preserving the intact tissue (lobectomy). At the end of the treatment, our patient regained his health with faith and hope. NOTE: In tumor formations involving the common bile duct or areas close to the common bile duct, the early findings may be reflected in the blood tests. Therefore, do not neglect your routine controls.
